I captured this shot in The British Museum. Among the artifacts that populated the Egyptian exhibit was this false door made of limestone for a tomb that housed the high priest, Ptahshepses, who died around 2400 BC.
I’m fascinated that such rich color and detail was preserved for thousands of years, traveling through time for me to one day stumble across it and snap a photo.
